This store focuses on PCGS graded coins that meet requirements for inclusion in their "100 Greatest Women on Coins" registry set. Coins are chosen from around the world based on the book "100 Greatest Women on Coins" by Ron Guth. His book includes some coins from the ancient world which PCGS does not currently grade, so at present there are 85 coins required to complete this set. But new coins are popping up all the time and already there are at least three additional women which can be added to the set including Medusa, Athena and Nike and Demeter. Yes, some of the women are goddesses (such as Marilyn Monroe) and one is the Mother-of-God (Mary, Mother of Jesus). It's a fun set that encompasses some exciting and even colorful and sometimes very large coins of unusual shapes. One popular coin choice for the Angel slot, comes in the shape of an angel. Don't think that all of the Top-100 ladies are Miss Goody-Two Shoes: the pirate Anne Bonny also made the cut!
