Cullasja Outdoors nasce dalla nostra passione per le montagne e i fiumi che ci circondano qui nella Carolina del Nord occidentale. Precedentemente noto come C.M.E.C. All'aperto, abbiamo scelto un nuovo nome che riflette più profondamente le nostre radici. La parola Cullasja deriva dalla parola Cherokee che significa "Honey Locust Place". Il nome si riferisce all'abbondanza di locuste al miele presenti nella zona, una specie autoctona da cui i nativi americani estrarrebbero un dolcificante naturale. La parola è associata al fiume Cullasaja e alla gola nella foresta nazionale di Nantahala nella Carolina del Nord, il luogo stesso che ispira il nostro amore per la vita all'aria aperta.
