The M. madisoniorum specimen I got has multiple scars from earlier injuries (not clearly visible in the original photos of the announcement), otherwise looks fine. The seller also included a small gift cactus, which was a nice gesture. The gift was labelled as Gymnocalycium but it’s another M. madisoniorum – a likely hard-grown, not very beautiful but endearing-looking specimen.

The plant is hardly a Pachycereus pringlei but I could tell it from the photo prior to the purchase. It’s one of the Trichocereus (or Echinopsis) species. Plant looks healthy, everything is fine!
