Product Information
Luc Besson brings French graphic novelist Jacques Tardi's series of period fantasy bandes dessinées to life in this charmingly whimsical action-adventure set in the early 20th century. Louise Bourgoin stars in the title role as a kind of late belle époque precursor to Indiana Jones. She's a famous writer who has turned archaeologist and whisked herself off to Egypt in search of a mummified doctor who, she hopes, once resurrected by her friend professeur Espérandieu, will be able to revive her sister. She finds the mummy, but by the time she's back home, Paris is being terrorised by a huge, brick-red pterodactyl, unwisely hatched from an antediluvian egg in the natural history museum by her friend and ineptly being hunted by the bumbling police inspector Caponi. As misadventure stacks upon misadventure, will our heroine succeed in her original mission? Can she restore peace to the troubled capital? And can she evade her nemesis, rival archaeologist Dieuleveult?Product Identifiers
