Visionking 5x25 ultra wide: a great little wide field binocular!
This is a little great low-power wide field binocular. Very solidly built, and surprisingly larger than one would expect for a 25mm objective binocular. They fit in hands perfectly and the relatively high weight helps to obtain a near rock-solid view (of course the low 5x magnification helps too). Focus mechanism is smooth and i found easy to reach a perfect focus. Being a roof prism design, 3D effect is a little less prominent than on a Porro prism binocular, but is still there and the effect is very pleasing and immersive, particularly when looking at tree branches. Optics are cristal clear, and the field of view is comfortably large. Lens indeed appears to be fully multicoated and there is actually very little reflections, even looking near a bright light source (full moon). Rendered image is quite sharp for at least 60-70% of the field of view. Amazing performances for a product with this price tag. If you love wide field views and/or you are looking for a low power binocular, I think that, for the price, this is unbeatable!!!
