Designed for SkyWatcher EQ1 equatorial mount. Part Number 20449. The drive can be used in either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. To change hemispheres (reverse the motor's direction), simply flip the North/South (N/S) switch on the face of the motor drive.

These economical single axis (R.A.) DC motor drives are designed to compensate for the earth's rotation. Their rotation speed matches the earth's rotation rate for stars to appear stationary in telescope eyepieces. With the 9-volt alkaline battery (included) installed, it lasts up to 40 hours.
