Product Information
The Takom Landkreuzer P1000 Ratte & Panzer VIII Maus Tank model kit accurately recreates World War II tank designs based on their original blueprints and development. Even though the Ratte tank was never fully produced, you can create a Takom 1:144 scale model of the P1000 Ratte and its smaller component known as the Panzer VIII Maus Tank. This extreme artillery was designed to be a 1,000 ton tank that could take down any enemy fortification that stood in its way. While the design never came to fruition due to issues with its maneuverability, the popularity of this heavy tank design allowed for the creation of these kits. The model comes with pre painted plastic pieces that minimize the building time and allow you to play with or display the model once it's assembled. The P1000 model features a turret that rotates to accurately represent the armed forces of the 1940s. These Takom models are recommended for ages 14 and older. This scale is larger than standard model kit sizes to portray more accurately how massive the Landkreuzer would have been if it were actually built. It measures about 27 centimeters in length. Each piece of these kits is easy to put together by following the instructions. Along with the pieces that make up the main battle tank, there is also a selection of pieces that allow you to build a medium tank and light tank to go along with the larger one. One of the unique aspects of this kit is that it includes a couple of different camouflage schemes that you can choose from. Once you're finished crafting these Takom models, it's possible to paint and detail them. Takom includes two color scheme suggestions, one with a lighter camouflage that would work well in a desert setting and another with a darker camouflage for forest areas. The wheel assembly for this series of tanks is one of the simpler aspects of the entire construction. Once you complete the two sets of tracks, you can start work on the top portion of this tank. This portion of the tank comes in one singular piece and can fit directly over the tracks. These Takom models come with a total of four anti-aircraft guns that can be mounted directly on the massive tank. While the recommended alignment calls for two of these anti-aircraft guns to be placed at the rear of the vehicle, you can make use of these them in any manner you choose. Once you've completed building these kits and crafting the Maus tanks, you can paint them. Since the design that these models were created from wasn't actually manufactured, the paint job you select for the tank is entirely up to you. If building models of tanks and other vehicles is a hobby of yours, you should definitely consider selecting one of these unique tank kits. Whether this is your first try at model building or you want to add this one to your growing collection, you will delight in the detail and craftsmanship that the Takom Landkreuzer offers.Product Identifiers
