Cosmetically I have seen better but I have also seen a lot worse (see photos). It has suffered from the common hand strap rubber degradation issue so I have brushed off as much as I can an so you don’t get loads of rubber bits stuck to your band when using it. If has had several cassettes run through it as well as a dedicated Sony head cleaner and it works well and records a nice quality image. It includes a genuine battery that worked well during testing but due to its age there are no guarantees on the battery, a brand new 3rd party mains/charger, AV leads, a new sealed Sony Pro Hi8 cassette and a bag ( not in the best condition and the zips are stuck but protects the kit).
