I followed up some more and waited a couple days, but haven't gotten a refund or any further response (either of which would only take a minute). I'm not sure what the deal is, but it feels shady.

I notified the seller and asked for a partial refund. They said they would organise a full refund, however, I haven’t received anything and when I followed up a few weeks later I received no response.
