Text contributions from key players, together with ground-breaking shots and video stills from lengendary photographers, make this book the definitive chronicle of the iconic label, which today has offices in the USA, UK, Germany and France and an unparalleled reputation worldwide., Mute is one of the most revered and influential indie labels of all time. Through the music of its tight-knit community of artists--ranging from Cabaret Voltaire, Nick Cave's The Birthday Party and Moby to Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Goldfrapp--it has had an incalculable impact on popular music for forty years. Daniel Miller created Mute to release his debut single ("Warm Leatherette"/ "T.V.O.D."), a pioneering electronic sound with a defiantly DIY punk attitude. Mute quickly established a reputation for cultivating the experimental, releasing cutting-edge industrial sounds, and chart-topping electronic music by the likes of Depeche Mode and Yazoo. The label was equally at home with the savage punk of Nick Cave's The Birthday Party and--to critical acclaim--his next outfit, The Bad Seeds. It also proved to be an Internet pioneer, launching the online site Mute Liberation Technologies in 1994. Mute features stunning artwork and photography--much of it previously unseen--and revelatory behind-the-scenes insights from the vibrant cast who have worked with the label., The authoritative, sumptuously illustrated history of Mute Records, a one-man label which helped launch Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Goldfrapp, and many more

- e***i (913)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoExcellent seller and experience as always! All of the books I ordered were exactly as described, They were also promptly shipped and arrived quickly, too. I appreciated that there was a layer of bubble wrapped around all of the books in the box to help prevent any damage in transit. I would certainly recommend this seller. Thank you very much!
- p***9 (945)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoCHALLENGERS OF THE UNKOWN, TPB, STOLEN MOMENTS, BORROWED TIME, arrived just as described. The book was shipped promptly. It was packaged securely to prevent any damage. And the price including the shipping charge was an excellent value! Highly recommended seller!
- e***e (1557)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoI always research sellers before buying, and I noticed most of this seller’s negative feedback stems from not offering combined shipping...despite providing a clear and reasonable explanation in their listings. I purchased two $19.99 TPBs for just $12.70 total (only $1.00 each!), and considering eBay charges sellers fees on shipping too, I think the shipping costs were more than fair. That’s basically 70% off MSRP. The condition was accurate, and shipping was fast. Thanks again!
