Synopsis
The first book in English to examine the Falklands War from the Argentine point of view. In 1982, the United Kingdom and Argentina fought a war over an historical disagreement over the colonial "ownership" or rights over the Falkland Islands. Within months of the Argentinian defeat, General Edgardo Calvi, then the Argentine Head of the Army Joint Chief of Staff, was instructed to undertake a wide-ranging and formal inquiry to investigate the performance of the Argentine Army during the Falklands. Calvi concluded that while the Army had the motivation, it lacked the organization, equipment, training, and ability to oppose an army capable of operating in a variety of environments. The war exposed political, military, and public weaknesses in a period of considerable internal unrest during the seven years of the Dirty War. Several senior officers who fought in the Falklands were imprisoned for offenses committed during the Dirty War. Secrecy and political disagreements isolated the Service chiefs of staff from the logistic and operational planning. This book tells the story of the Falklands War from the Argentine Army perspective., In 1982, the UK and Argentina fought a war over an historical disagreement regarding the colonial 'ownership' or rights over the Falkland Islands. While many books presenting the British experience of this war have been published, very few have explored the Argentine campaign at all levels.

- e***i (913)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoExcellent seller and experience as always! All of the books I ordered were exactly as described, They were also promptly shipped and arrived quickly, too. I appreciated that there was a layer of bubble wrapped around all of the books in the box to help prevent any damage in transit. I would certainly recommend this seller. Thank you very much!
- p***9 (945)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoCHALLENGERS OF THE UNKOWN, TPB, STOLEN MOMENTS, BORROWED TIME, arrived just as described. The book was shipped promptly. It was packaged securely to prevent any damage. And the price including the shipping charge was an excellent value! Highly recommended seller!
- e***e (1557)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoI always research sellers before buying, and I noticed most of this seller’s negative feedback stems from not offering combined shipping...despite providing a clear and reasonable explanation in their listings. I purchased two $19.99 TPBs for just $12.70 total (only $1.00 each!), and considering eBay charges sellers fees on shipping too, I think the shipping costs were more than fair. That’s basically 70% off MSRP. The condition was accurate, and shipping was fast. Thanks again!
