Product Information

Jaime Hernandez

The Mint only produced Proof nickel clad Eisenhower Dollars for two years, which had a Type 1 reverse design. That was in 1973 and 1974. The 1973-S Proof nickel clad Eisenhower Dollar has the highest mintage of these two dates.

All coins are common up to grades of PR67. They become a little tougher in PR68 but still easily available. In PR69 they become a bit more challenging since many of them have developed spots over the years. In PR 70 they are extremely difficult to find since many of them come with minor flecks, light hairlines or scratches, which are usually easily noticeable, especially since it is a very large coin.
Product Identifiers
