Product Information

The enigma of Marilyn Monroe's final project comes to light in this documentary, which features a restoration of the film which she was working on when she died. Directed by George Cukor, the film was called SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE, and co-starred Dean Martin and Cyd Charisse. But the production was troubled by Marilyn's instability. She was fired and rehired, and died before filming was completed, and the footage that remains is assembled here as it would have appeared in the final piece, lovingly restored to its original CinemaScope. Narrated by James Coburn (THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN), the documentary provides new information about Marilyn's last days, as her vulnerability and volatility become clear in never-before-seen backstage footage, interviews with Marilyn and her co-stars, and hair, make-up, and costume tests.

    Although item was - indeed - New - still in shrink wrap (and the DVD was fine - no marks/scratches) - - none-the-less - the DVD]'s container was cracked all the way left to right. Yes, easy to miss - esp. still under shrink wrap - - but definitely something condition-wise that would have been nice to have known. Otherwise: accurately described and imaged = recommended seller.
