They are designed to deliver maximum versatility and provide all consumers need to know about selecting film. Kodak Max films are engineered to be flexible enough to handle a wide range of picture-taking conditions, including sunlight, low light, inside with flash, still life or fast action. Max film is designed to have excellent raw stock keeping and low sensitivity to processing variations. Max 400 film builds on Kodak-patented color management technology - first developed for the current Kodak Gold film family - to deliver more accurate color in flesh tones and consistently better pictures of people. Max 400 film marries the company's leadership in color management technology with the high performance of its Kodak Max films. Kodak scientists, employing breakthrough Colorsharp technology developed for Kodak Gold films, made modifications to the film's inner layer to enhance the image colors within the layer. The enhanced inner image colors result in more pleasing flesh tones. Color Precision Technology (CPT) is a unique combination of dye-forming and development-modulation couplers, which act in concert to provide enhanced flesh tone reproduction without sacrificing the brilliant color associated with Kodak film. By providing for more accurate "communication" among the individual red, green and blue color recording channels, CPT renders a flesh tone with depth, texture and hue that more closely reflects the original scene, even in the presence of neutral (black, white or gray) objects. The combination of outstanding flesh-to-neutral and bold, dramatic color content made possible by CPT offer the photographer even better color from Kodak Max 400 film.
