It is heavy and strong--moving the pieces required effort, but that's not a complaint! In fact, I expect it can hold up a monitor really well. The problem I had was that the plastic around the mounting point was cracked. Upon contacting the seller, they informed me that the item will still work, but offered a partial refund for the damage. I was satisfied!

It comes with all the screws you need, and will accept 100mm or 75mm VESA mounting. Just be aware that the springs are very stiff, so you won’t be disappointed. The seller is very nice, and easy to do business with. A good price for a strong monitor stand.

The hinges are very tight but not impossible to maneuver; they are riveted together so I see no way to adjust the tension. Has little rubber feet on the bottom so it's safe to set anywhere without scratching up surfaces. VESA mounting screws were included.
