Synopsis
"A must-read for any woman who is ready to design a life on her own terms." - Sophia Amoruso, Founder and CEO, Girlboss Women: it's time to break the good girl myths that are holding you back and share your true gifts with this groundbreaking book from Stanford University-trained designer and women's leadership expert Majo Molfino. For thousands of years, women have been taught to be "good" instead of powerful. But when we embody the good girl, we hold back their voices and gifts in a world that desperately needs female perspectives. Drawing on countless coaching sessions and conversations with female leaders, Majo identifies five self-sabotaging tendencies ("the five Good Girl Myths") every woman must overcome to unleash her power and design a more purposeful life: The Myth of Rules The Myth of Perfection The Myth of Logic The Myth of Harmony The Myth of Sacrifice While there are many women's leadership books, Majo uses her knowledge and training in design thinking (which is used by the world's most innovative people and companies) to help you build creative confidence and break free from these disempowering myths once and for all. Discover how each myth negatively affects your relationships, career, and well-being and identify your primary good girl myth - the blindspot that's zapping most of your power as a creative badass. If you're a woman who can't seem to get your voice or ideas out into the world, Break the Good Girl Myth will finally help you understand why and light the way out so you can become the woman you're meant to be. Your time - our time - is now., Women's leadership expert, life coach, and host of the Heroine podcast, Majo Molfino, shares how design thinking can help women identify and dismantle the self-sabotaging myths that negatively impact their work, relationships, and wellbeing. In her work as a women's leadership expert and life coach, Majo Molfino found that many of her clients--ambitious, hard-working, high-achieving women--were victims of self-sabotaging tendencies. From birth, women have been conditioned to be "good girls"--taught that, by following the rules and doing the right thing, they would feel safe and valued and ultimately succeed. Instead, those ingrained lessons are holding them back at work and in relationships. Drawing on the experiences of her clients (which include top managers, directors, and founders in Silicon Valley) famous women leaders, and her own life, Molfino explores this conditioning in-depth, and identifies five disempowering myths--Rules, Harmony, Logic, Perfection, and Sacrifice--that affect women's wellbeing. Molfino then uses her knowledge and expertise in design thinking to provide accessible tools and frameworks that will help readers identify and break free from the myths affecting their lives. For the woman whose need for perfection inhibits taking action; who feels like she is always sacrificing her own needs for others; who has trouble speaking up for herself, Break t he Good Girl Myth leads you on a process of self-discovery and healing, and empowers you to share your gifts with the world.

- a***4 (322)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoThe book was in excellent condition, as described in the listing, and was excellently packaged, arriving in unblemished condition. The shipping time was very quick. While the listing showed the book with a dust jacket, the book did not come with one. I brought this to the attention of the seller, who responded to me right away, and was satisfied with the seller's explanation. I have to say that the service was in every way outstanding.
- h***2 (1192)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoThe book arrived swiftly packaged in a protective plastic envelope, but it was a paperback not hardcover as listed. I contacted seller and they apologized, refunded me and suggested several things to do with the book after allowing me to keep it. I have gone ahead and ordered a hardcover from the same seller. I’m a repeat customer and hope to remain so. This mixup was a first, but I’m very impressed with their prompt response and professionalism. Kudos :)
