GUSTAVE LE BON (1841-1931) Arzt, Ethnologe, Soziologe und Psychologe. Er gilt als Begründer der 'Massenpsychologie'. Sein berühmtes Werk 'Psychologie der Massen' übte einen nachhaltigen Einfl uss in der Wissenschaft und praktischen Politik aus. Dieses Grundlagenwerk der Sozialpsychologie beeinfl usste nicht nur Siegmund Freud ('Die Massenpsychologie und die Ich-Analyse'), sondern wurde auch von Politikern und Diktatoren des 20. Jahrhunderts für die Ausarbeitung ihrer Propagandatechniken benutzt.
