Reviews
It's provincial, opaque, sparkling and wonderfully optimistic while being at the same time tinged with intimations of sorrow and mortality.

Synopsis
Experience Austen's feistiest heroine in a gorgeous pocket sized hardback, with Hugh Thomson's classic illustrations and with an afterword by Hugh Pinching., Oft-copied but never bettered, Jane Austen's Emma is a remarkable comedy of manners. Part of the Macmillan Collector's Library; a series of stunning, clothbound, pocket sized classics with gold foiled edges and ribbon markers. These beautiful books make perfect gifts or a treat for any book lover. This edition is illustrated by the celebrated Hugh Thomson and includes an afterword by David Pinching. Austen follows the charming but insensitive Emma Woodhouse as she sets out on an ill-fated career of match-making in the little town of Highbury. Taking the pretty but dreary Harriet Smith as her subject, Emma creates misunderstandings and chaos as she tries to find Harriet a suitor, until she begins to realize it isn't the lives of others she must try to transform., Designed to appeal to the book lover, the Macmillan Collector's Library is a series of beautifully bound pocket-sized gift editions of much loved classic titles. Book arrived as described, packed inside a cardboard envelope which I like because it protects the corners from damage in transit. Great price and arrived ahead of the estimated delivery date. I value book sellers who package this way to ensure the books arrive safely, will bookmark you guys for future book purchases.

My book arrived in good condition. Packaging was a rigid cardboard mailer, and it protected my book well. It was shipped in a reasonable amount of time, but I was still prompted to reach out to inquire further about it. Seller communication was very good, answering me within 24-hours. I was told shipping can take 9-15 days to happen... it arrived within 10 days after purchase. I would purchase from this seller again. Two thumbs up!
