Really compelling read, detailing the problems,changes and innovations inherited by BR from prewar to the end of the 70's. A journey through the steam locomotives in decline and the introduction of dieselisation and electric traction. The mistakes made with some of the early diesels and the introduction of the APT and HST's in the 70's. A really good book. Thanks.

The only slight downside was that it took quite a bit longer to be delivered. I ordered 4 CD's at the same time. The 1st 3 were delivered on time but this one took about 5 days extra. It's no bother to me but a message would have been nice to explain the situation. I would still buy from this seller again.
