Reviews
"Arnosky's painterly eye and personal observations match handsomely in this face-to-face experience. The slim volume presents-head-on-life-size deptictions of a plethora of scaly or otherwise armored critters, along with a nice selection of data included in the conversational text. Neat foldouts of a passel of snakes, an American crocodile (with an infant perched on his nose), a skitter of lizards, and the heads of a variety of sea turtles add an interactive touch to the artist's outstanding acrylics. Even libraries that have titles in Arnosky's "All About" series (Scholastic) will want to add this handsome, informative book to their slithery collections." - School Library Journal (Starred Review) "Youngsters can examine beautiful and very detailed illustrations of different types of reptiles while they learn why these creatures differ and compare with other animals. The book presents facts about snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodiles, and alligators, especially their size, eating habits, habitats, natural predators, and prey. The book also answers the question of 'Where do reptiles go in winter?' An Author's Note describes how Arnosky safely observes reptiles. It also offers a further reading list and a metric equivalent chart for readers not familiar with American measurement systems. Arnosky's love of nature is contagious and spills across the pages. Because of its comprehensive coverage, this book is valuable for both and school and public libraries." - Library Media Connection , "Arnosky's painterly eye and personal observations match handsomely in this face-to-face experience. - g***a (78)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoI received a different version of the item that was advertised - but am extremely happy to report that Clarissa responded quickly and, once it was confirmed, issued a refund without delay. I've ordered from this vendor in the past: wonderful high quality books, & have always enjoyed quick replies with helpful information, great prices and fast shipping. Mistakes happen. Rock solid customer service is RARE. Thank you, Clarissa for handling the discrepancy so well. I'll def buy from you again!Flor y Canto; Tercera Edición Words and Music- 9781579921583, hardcover, Various (N° 388314820808)
- s***t (2246)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificato🎈🎈🧨🧨🎈🎈 This seller is all about service and customer satisfaction!! I ordered a book, received a book (very fast shipping), but it was not the title I ordered (same subject matter). I sent a message explaining what happened, received very quick response that was apologetic and requesting some additional info about the book I received. Sent that info and again very quick response. The book I wanted was not in stock, a full refund was issued, and I was allowed to keep the book I received!!😀
- 5***5 (309)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoUnfortunately I never received books, but it wasn’t seller’s fault. Tracking info proved items were honestly mailed out on time, so either postal service lost/mis-delivered package or it was stolen from my building mailroom. Whatever the case, seller gave me a full refund. I really appreciate them making it right & although I bought the books I wanted elsewhere, this seller is aboveboard & can be trusted & I’d buy from them again.
