Only way to harm this lens would be if a truck ran over the package ! ! ! The lens was in its original container held in place by a foam insert, lens case in bubble wrap inside the original box, then that box was cradled in 4 more layers of bubble wrap. The camera arrived wrapped in copious amounts of bubble wrap and did not sustain any damage during transit. Pricing was on the cheaper end and a great deal. Shipping was pricey but accordingly quick.
