Only way to harm this lens would be if a truck ran over the package ! ! ! The lens was in its original container held in place by a foam insert, lens case in bubble wrap inside the original box, then that box was cradled in 4 more layers of bubble wrap. See Photo of packaging

The camera arrived wrapped in copious amounts of bubble wrap and did not sustain any damage during transit. Pricing was on the cheaper end and a great deal. Shipping was pricey but accordingly quick.
