Die Deathinitive Edition ist eine grafisch aufgewertete Fassung von Darksiders 2, die sämtliche DLCs (Maker Armor Set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov's Axe, Van Der Schmash Hammer, Fletcher's Crow Hammer, Mace Maximus, Argul's Tomb) enthält und eine native Auflösung von 1080p bieten wird. Neben der grafischen Überarbeitung wurden auch Balancing und Beuteverteilung verfeinert. Das gesamte Projekt wurde dem erfahrenen Team von Gunfire Games anvertraut, wo nahezu alle Mitarbeiter zuvor bereits bei Vigil Games an Darksiders gearbeitet haben.
