Ethel B. Power compiled this wonderful selection of home designs in 1927. She selected works by the era's most notable architects, including Dwight James Baum, Wallace Frost, John F. Staub, Wallace Neff, George Washington Smith, Eleanor Raymond, and Henry Atherton Frost. The house styles include Classic Colonial, Spanish Revival, Creole, and Storybook Style. Each of the delightfully diverse homes includes a floor plan, photography that presents the home's overall profile, as well as landscaping and interior shots. Power focused on built-in features that personalized these homes while maximizing the homeowner's ability to enjoy every detail. This book is every bit as relevant for today's home designer, architect, and builder. AUTHOR: Ethel B. Power was editor of House Beautiful magazine in 1927, and thus one of the most powerful voices in style for the American home. Handpicking small gems created by the time's leading architects, Power wrote that studying house plans was to her as enjoyable a game as playing house to children.

Dispatch of item was a little on the slower side, but it arrived safely and in good conditoon, so can overlook it to be fair. Seller replies quickly to messages and answers any questions well. Once it was dispatched it arrived quickly. Over all, happy with purchase and would buy from again.

The book sent has disappointing cover artwork of later or earlier edition. My fault rather than a complaint. Should have contacted seller before ordering, as I did with previous Paul Gallico book I'd ordered from same seller, who were very helpful. (On that occasion I did get the book/cover I wanted.) Moral of the story: check with seller if this sort of thing is important to you.
