In 1961, pilot Robert M. White flew a hypersonic rocket-powered airplane six times faster than the speed of sound and higher than 300,000 feet above the Earth's surface. This is his story. So hard to get an early edition of this classic! So happy to add to my growing collection of nature & science books! Thank you! !!Seller Highly Recommended!!

In condition as described by seller, unfortunately there was a binding error during printing that was missed (15 pages were replaced with a duplicate 15 pages from another section) when informed vender checked inventory, no other identical books so they offered an alternate rare antique book but the book I was interested in at half the price was common so the seller refunded me the purchase price instead. Great seller.
