The ControlLogix system is a modular system, requiring a 1756 I/O chassis, which are available in standard and extreme environment series versions. The standard chassis series is available in five sizes, ranging from four to 17 slot designs. The number of slots represents the quantity of modules that can be added to the chassis. The 1756-A17 features 17 slots to snap in compatible modules. The ControlLogix PLC 1756-A17 chassis receives power from a ControlLogix power supply. This model is compatible with 1756-PA72, 1756-PB72, 1756-PA75, 1756-PB75, 1756-PC75 and 1756-PH75 power supplies. The chassis provides direct mounting capability for any type of 1756 series power supply. Each module can be placed into any slot, providing the flexibility required to suit a range of applications. Rockwell Automation creates Allen Bradley control systems, modules, and components in elegant and efficient designs to enhance factory automation. The Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC 1756-A17 features slot guides and snap-in retention capabilities, offering a range of possibilities to meet your automation needs. You can add modules in any configuration. Empty slots should be filled with slot filler modules. Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC 1756-A17 Series B is designed for horizontal back panel rack mounting. The back plane is designed with a pathway for distributing power to each module and facilitating high speed communication between modules. The Allen Bradley 1756-A17 features an open type enclosure, convection cooling, and sub-panel horizontal mounting. The unit has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celcius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), relative humidity range of 5-95 percent with no condensing, vibration of 2 G at 10 to 500 Hz, and power consumption of 1.8 watts. This model measures 30 inches x 36 inches x 8 inches. The chassis meets the following standards: CE, CSA, C-TICK, CUL, GOST, KC, Marine, NRTL, and UL. The Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 1756-A17 is compatible with a variety of software devices, drives, and hardware. The flexibility provides an environment in which different components can be merged to improve its process control system. The lockdown controller offers the ingenuity needed to develop features onto the industrial control system and help users read passwords. The modules and systems secure easily in the ControlLogix PLC 1756a17 chassis.
