The LucasFilm and LEGO companies have come together to create toys commemorating a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" theme. Fans of the classic Indiana Jones film and book series will love this intricate LEGO kit. It replicates a tense scene in the movie when Indiana Jones fights German soldiers on the wing of an airplane. This scene is particularly memorable because it includes a mechanic who can box, several machine guns, and multiple explosions. LEGO's Fight on the Flying Wing 7683 set was released in 2008 as part of the series paying tribute to the iconic film.This kit will give you access to 376 pieces, including minifigures that represent classic Indiana Jones characters and multiple types of LEGO bricks. The LEGO Indiana Jones set also includes original instructions for how to assemble the Flying Wing and the tanker truck. The guide is simple and concise, so you will not have to search through pages of content to find assembly advice. Once everything is assembled, the Indy figurine can fit into the cockpit space or stand posted on the plane's wings. The brick set comes with camouflage stickers so you can make each brick look just like its movie counterpart.The set contains LEGO Indiana Jones figures and accessories, so you can play out your favorite scenes from the movie. Of course, one of the minifigures is Indy wearing his trademark hat and armed with a whip. Other figures include Marion Ravenwood, the muscular mechanic, and a German pilot. The complete set contains other weapons that the minifigures can grip, so you can act out the scene. Each LEGO brick displays the logo of the LEGO group, so you know they can be joined together easily. You can even use them with other LEGO toys if you want to mix and match sets.The design of the Flying Wing plane is based on the Horten Ho 229 aircraft prototype originally used by the German Luftwaffe during the Nazi era and World War II. It is slightly modified to stay true to the video version that used propellers to fly. The LEGO Flying Wing features dual engines and a cockpit that can be opened up to hold Indy. Remaining true to the movie, a secret cargo hold in the plane hides the crate for the ark. Guns can be posted on the tail of the aircraft to make it look more ominous. The included tanker truck also has an opening door for easy access during play.The many toys and parts included make this a kit for beginner or advanced builders. This LEGO Indiana Jones set is intended for ages 8 and up. The sturdy design of the wings lets you play with the set without any concerns about durability and longevity.
