I initially thought I would be returning it but having fiddled about a bit I found that it did work and It does fit and matches the original cable. The item is no longer available from Bose so this is as close to the original one will find at a reasonable price!

Also never closed my gate so afraid marks are down on delivery but top marks for supplier and goods.
