Soft and stretchy and much easier to wash the sticky toddler finger marks off, than the actual sofa covers. I will be buying the full set shortly.

Considering the cost though, it's covered and embarrassing suite quite well. Measure accurately (across top of arms, down inside of arms and across either the base or top of the cushions for size needed), and allow wriggle room, it works well to get anyone out of a tight spot with a tired suite. Take time to smooth out and push well down into the gaps and it will hold.
