The wood pieces do fit together very tightly (good that they aren't too loose but too hard for a small toddler). If you are transitioning from raised puzzle pieces for a toddler, this shouldn't be a next step puzzle but could be a third step option. These are probably best for a 3 year old. They are also a small me could be a great travel activity for car rides.

They are a little stuff but once uses a couple time they start to losses up. Great shape and I think it was worth what I paid . The picture of the animals is clear and doesn’t seem like it will fall apart easy.
