My doorbell wiring comes in thru the wall that’s perpendicular to the wall with the door in it, so without it, the camera would point across the porch at the profile of a person standing right at the door. It wouldn’t show the length of the porch, catching both the face of a person at the door AND down the length of the porch where a package might be left. SimpliSafe has a lame wedge, but it’s inadequate as you can’t swivel it to position it correctly.
