It easily removes old wax and polish without striping the leather. Prepares the leather for conditioning. It has a bit of an odor. If you are sensitive use this product in a ventilated area. This definitely should be your first step when restoring neglected leather shoes. You will need to do less work making the shoe look new again.

Another online seller (CL Osbourne) lists this same product at $41.62 and adds $26.88 for shipping which should be criminal, IMHO. Please note these plates are PLATED, not solid brass. This seller does NOT include the screws but I located small brass 6mm screws on Amazon. Seller was responsive to my questions and I will use this seller again in the future.
