Synopsis
- Sixth in the national bestselling series - The mass market publication of the first series hardcover - Murder on St. Marks Place (3/00) was nominated for an Edgar Award - Coincides with the hardcover publication of Murder on Lenox Hill (6/05) - Reviews have favorably compared midwife Sarah Brandt and Detective Sergeant Frank Malloy to Anne Perry's Charlotte and Thomas Pitt - Also available: Murder on Mulberry Bend (3/03), Murder on Washington Square (4/02), Murder on Gramercy Park (3/01), and Murder on Astor Place - Author website: www.victoriathompson.com, When an explosion kills wealthy industrialist Gregory Van Dyke, Police Commissioner Teddy Roosevelt presumes that anarchists are responsible and personally asks Detective Sergeant Frank Malloy to track them down. Malloy is up to the challenge - but he faces a different kind of challenge when he encounters Sarah Brandt paying a condolence call on the Van Dykes. Faced with the impossibility of ever expressing his true feelings for Sarah, Frank had vowed never to see or work with her again." For her part, Sarah is glad to be working with Malloy once again in his hunt for a dangerous killer - though they clash over his conviction that the murder was politically motivated., When New York City Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt becomes convinced that anarchists are responsible for the death of a wealthy industrialist, Detective Sergeant Frank Malloy must turn to his unrequited love, midwife Sarah Brandt, to catch a killer.

- e***t (463)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoI’m very happy with my purchase!! Fast shipping and item in great condition as described!! 👍😁. Thank you!
- e***- (122)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoUnfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.
- v***v (2101)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoAlthough this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate. How to chalk talk, by Harlan Tarbell (N° 197064259889)
