I just packed it back up and put it away, I hand programmed just like the 7900 model and it does not work. Simplex is fine but repeaters is a no go. I had high hopes for this but the reviews were right, a difficult initial to work with…

They kindly refunded enough to buy a replacement. First they offered a full refund with a return label, but I finally determined the problem was a defective antenna. So the perfect solution was a partial refund so I could replace it and not have to return my newly programmed radio. Very happy so I'm saving them as a favorite and will certainly buy from them again if the opportunity arises.

As with anything you can get items that aren’t absolutely perfect directly from manufacturer, not blaming seller. Family has purchased from this seller previously so items are quality. Pros: knowledgeable seller, easy to communicate with, caring and concern if any issues, quality products. Cons: shipping costs, however, everything costs more these days.
