Reviews
"Smoothly written and effectively blending hard facts and personal observations, the book is peppered with inspiring success stories about 'what works' in terms of improving morale and the quality of nursing practice. Reading this book is akin to sitting in on a series of talks or even a year's worth of mentoring chats over coffee with a well-read, very seasoned nurse colleague." -- Sean Clarke, RN, PhD, CRNP, Assistant Professor, Associate Director, Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research, University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing " Smart Nursing is packed with insight and provides a solid road map for nurses who would like to reach their full potential. Every nurse should read this book. " -- Margaret A. Fitzgerald , MS, APRN, BC, NP-C, FAANP, President, Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc. FNP, Adjunct Faculty, Family Practice Residency,Greater Lawrence (MA) Family Health Center, Inc. "June Fabre's not afraid to tackle the tough issues, providing for example, a list of appropriate actions to use in responding to disrespectful behavior. Implementing Smart Nursing concepts will result in energy enhancing experiences for your nurses and better care for your patients" -- Susan Keane Baker , Author, Managing Patient Expectations . "Readers will get the feeling that they are in a discussion group with informed nurses. This book is an excellent read for nurses, administrators, and anyone else in the organization who has influence on the nursing environment."-- Susan Jensen , RN, BS, CNOR

Synopsis
At last, a book about the nursing shortage that links nurses, managers, and physicians using conceptual, communication, and leadership approaches. Smart Nursing addresses critical healthcare issues such as patient safety and nurse retention. Smart Nursing is an easy system of cost effective strategies that removes obstacles that interfere with nurse productivity. It enables nurses to use their full professional capacity to deliver safe patient care in a variety of clinical settings. It blends heathcare knowledge with business expertise to address the bottom line for managers. In short, the dollar difference between the present level of nurse productivity and a nurse's full professional capacity is the potential cost savings that Smart Nursing offers. - e***- (122)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoUnfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.
- v***v (2106)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoAlthough this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate. How to chalk talk, by Harlan Tarbell (N° 197064259889)
