The app it recommends is a bit naff but is the best of all the generic Bluetooth LED control apps that are free. As soon as power is applied to the red wire, the LEDs just do their own thing, cycling through the patterns, unless you control them with the app. The indicator function does not work well, unless it’s just supposed to be orange marker with a fun startup sequence.
