Synopsis
Having spent the last thirty years researching, thinking and writing about some of the key issues in education, Professor Ivor Goodson presents twenty of his most important writings in this single volume., As schooling has become more commodity-based, the place and position of learning and curriculum has been transformed and new perspectives are needed to understand these rapidly changing times. By studying life histories and life politics we can gain insights into the relationship between peoples' private missions and meanings and their public tasks and targets. For the last thirty years, Ivor Goodson has been researching, thinking and writing about some of the central and enduring issues in education, contributing over forty books and six hundred articles to the field. This single volume brings together twenty of his key pieces for the first time. Ivor Goodson opens with an autobiographical introduction to a range of curriculum studies which pioneered a new way of studying schooling and he contextualises his selection within the development of the field. Chapters in this prestigious book cover: curriculum history and policy classroom pedagogy and strategies for professional development life history, narrative and educational change.

Seller handles a massive inventory so I give them grace on the slow processing and shipping. They were very communicative and prompt with their response when I messaged in asking about it. Book was in good condition as described. Small ding on the page edges which wasn't mentioned, but that's fairly common even at your typical book store. Still a good value and I'd buy from them again.

Book arrived today, 2 days before deadline given by the seller. Well-packaged & in good condition. Price was very competitive, & the book was accurately listed. Great communication. I appreciate the seller getting back to me when I was having trouble tracking the book's delivery progress. Apparently there were 2 different tracking numbers - one in Canada & the other in the U.S., since it was initially shipped from Canada. Thank you very much for your quick response & helpful information.
