At the age of 85 Augusto Gomes Rodrigues, known as Verequete, is considered the grand old master of carimbó, the local dance music in the region east of the Amazon. In the 1960s he brought this traditional style with African features out of the backwoods into the city Belém and modernized it. In his youth he was acclaimed as an innovator; in his old age, as a traditionalist. "Carimbó" will make Verequete's music internationally available for the first time.

My three box sets were shipped quickly with UPS signature required, the price was very good and they were well packaged, this is a very big company and I sent a few messages and didn’t get a response from a person.     Fast shipping in careful, thoughtful packaging. Product matched the listing condition (new), but didn't match the listing description. There was an article missing; however, the item received was brand new in factory seal so I blame the manufacture for the error. Regardless, spoke with customer service and they were very fast and friendly in response. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from them in the past and can't wait to buy from them again. 100%.
