Reviews
"Cycling's Golden Age is a must have for the bike enthusiast seeking to understand the origins of modern cycling and a glimpse of the sport's golden age." -- Cascade Courier, newsletter of the Cascade Bicycle ClubCycling's Golden Age is the Sports Book of the Year -- ForeWord magazine"This book is a wonderful tribute to a glorious time in the sport. All the big names are here along with the ones nobody has heard mentioned in decades. They all live again, race again, in Cycling's Golden Age."--Samuel Abt, International Herald Tribune"This beautiful books brings alive the halcyon days of the sport when great athletes left home anonymous and returned as superstars. This was the Golden Age, when the challenge was not just your rival, but the very terrain upon which you rode."--Phil Liggett"I had the honor of racing during 12 years of cycling's great history. Now, as a spectator, I am as excited reading about past triumphs as I am about this year's races. Looking over the photos in this book I am reminded how approachable and outstandingly stylish my predecessors were on and off the bike. Cycling will always be a fascinating sport, I admire the champions in these earlier years who relied on their talents and instincts to overcome the odds."--Andy Hampsten"Cycling's Golden Age is a veritable treasure trove. Joining Brett Horton's unsurpassed collection of rare cycling memorabilia to Owen Mulholland's gifted prose is a master stroke. The anecdotes are priceless, offering a unique insight into many of the sport's great riders--the famous and the not-so-famous names that make cycling so historically rich. This book will stay front and center on my coffee table for years!"--Davis Phinney"This book assembles what is surely the greatest collection of images from this legendary era, all of them sifted from the vaults of the world renowned Horton Collection."--Procycling magazine"Cycling's Golden Age is one of the most impressive books on bicycle racing ever published."--Bicycle Quarterly"Connects today's riders to an earlier era of grit and pain."--Marin Independent Journal

- e***n (391)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoGreat transaction, exactly as described, packed well, and promptly shipped on August 6th. Unfortunately the U.S. Postal Service took 23 calendar days to deliver the book. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive. Thanks, Joe

Seller was able to bundle all three items together into one package. Items as described and arrived in perfect condition.
