Synopsis
Pablo Ruiz Picasso was someone who is never forgotten. Not in Vallauris six kilometres away from the Mediterranean Sea, in Cannes, Vauvenargues or Mougins. Nor elsewhere. His houses are monuments to the genius that worked within their walls. They have also become so through the photographs that were taken there by photographic legends such as Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Edward Quinn, by Robert Doisneau, Lucien Clergue and Lee Miller. Their pictures complement one another in an unfamiliar manner and consolidate with new intensity the image of Picasso¿s feeling of well-being and his daily life in his houses in the South of France ¿ many of them never seen before, all brought together for the first time in one volume. A photographic and textual search for clues in the South of France, rare insights into the life and residences of the greatest artist of all time.
