The beautiful Princess Mariko is held captive in the fortress of the evil warlord Akuma. Only a Karateka, one skilled in the arts of karate, would have a chance of infiltrating the dark dungeon to rescue her.<br><br>In Karateka, you take on the challenge of rescuing the Princess. Alone and unarmed, you must fight your way past one guard after another to complete your mission.<br><br>In this side scrolling game, you must defeat an opponent in hand to hand combat to move to the next screen which takes you deeper into the fortress.
