Reviews
"This book does an excellent job of combining insights from neuroscience, sociology, history, and political science to explain the phenomena of past and current group behavior and philosophy both nationally and globally. VERDICT Although this quality work has a scholarly bent and would most appeal to undergraduates, general readers will also be well served by the timeliness of this thought-provoking material." -- Library Journal, "This book does an excellent job of combining insights from neuroscience, sociology, history, and political science to explain the phenomena of past and current group behavior and philosophy both nationally and globally. Synopsis
In today's society, we see angry groups in many forms--from animal rights and climate crisis activists to citizens opposed to allowing more immigrants of certain ethnicities or religions into the country, militia groups frustrated by acts of domestic terrorism and legislation that limits gun ownership and the ability to carry weapons in public, and those outraged by what they see as police brutality or the unnecessary use of deadly force against people of color. More than just evidence of civil unrest in society, angry groups across history and nations often ultimately affect our politics and our government, for better or worse, and sometimes result in injury, bloodshed, or financial costs that hit otherwise-uninvolved taxpayers. This book demonstrates how people across our nation are involved in, affected by, or harmed by angry groups; covers historical and modern perspectives on angry groups; ands offers suggestions for predicting and influencing the expression of angry group behavior. It provides readers with an understanding of such conflicts and of their origins and dynamics that may offer insights to successful resolution, and it identifies strategies that can reduce the suffering that comes from such conflicts., This book examines the dynamics that lead to anger in individuals, within groups, and between groups; identifies the role of the media in angry group behavior; and offers solutions for dealing with angry groups and channeling that negative energy in positive ways. - b***b (169)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoAfter two poor experiences with this seller, they exceeded my expectations with this order…hard to believe it was the same seller. The book purchased, identified in their listing as “Very Good”, was, in fact, “Like New”. The price was very fair. Shipping was slow, but that seems to be true with many things purchased in the internet. If I have a complaint, it is that the seller will not respond to specific questions about a listed item before the purchase..too many orders to do so! 🙁The Beginning or the End: How Hollywood―and America―Learned to Stop Worrying an (N° 387783000754)
- e***r (9)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoYou can’t always be sure when an item is listed “like new” but this seller delivered a book that is just that. I’m very pleased with the condition of the book and the pricing was excellent compared to other sellers online. It was packaged extremely well and arrived with no wrinkles or folded areas. I made a great purchase and I now look forward to purchasing additional items by this author from this seller. 10/10 satisfaction!

I had an additional question about the book's condition, and a representative answered right away. The book arrived in great condition, and the quality of the book is even better than advertised. An excellent value and seller!
