The capper did not work that great on my 1851 , due to more material on gun. I created a small flat on capper by sanding, this allowed to install on the 1851 and still holds cap perfectly. This is a great product I highly recommend this . Theses fit a lot better your Big thumb and finger!! Thanks you !!
