The razor was new and was in it's original packaging. The razor itself, a Parker injector, appears well made and will likely last. It is surprisingly light and slim and gave a good initial shave. As I have used heavy DE razors for the last 20 years or so there is a learning curve. I am already considering another purchase from Super Safety Razors

Definitely listen when reviewers say to change out that first blade if it’s not feeling right. No idea why Schick wastes a blade by having one installed. Mine was dull as a butter knife; night and day difference when I changed it for a fresh one!
