I only made a trial fit of a 5C collet in each of the blocks and everything seemed fine. I did have a problem with the quick collet closer. The pin that the lever pivots on was not fixed to the holder and it would slide out. Shars quickly delivered a replacement closer and the second unit worked fine. Shars gets an A+ for their quick response to product problems. I rate Shars as being a very good company.

Shars Dial Calipers were exactly as advertised- no nasty surprises. The package was shipped via USPS the next day after I paid, but then they lost the package. Seller sent a replacement via FedEx immediately after my contact email. Delivery was VERY FAST-- 3 days! I LOVE the HIGHLY VISIBLE red plastic protective box, plus the desiccant bag in a sealed zip-lock plastic bag. My shop gets very humid in the summers. I ordered a 40nmtb tool holder from them that arrived and had what appeared to be a factor defect ( which happens so not their fault). They didn’t hesitate to fix the issue and had a replacement in the mail in two days.
