Notes
Jonathan Byrd is a seventh generation North Carolinian. "Cackalacky" is vernacular poetry for "Carolina." Cackalack was recorded live in a converted garage on a sunny afternoon in Toronto by gold & platinum record-producing Ken Whiteley, featuring Canadian super-pickers from the Foggy Hogtown Boys and Creaking Tree String Quartet. Having recently made Rich Warren's "50 Most Significant Songwriters of the Past 50 Years" (WFMT), Byrd takes US to the Outer Banks, where wild ponies still run; Rockwell, where he sings a song to his father's ashes; and 95 South, a river of humanity that brings US rolling back from a hard tour. "Cackalack's songs are dirt road visits with the neighbors outside your car window." - Tim O'Brien.

At first I thought the shipping price was high, but when it arrived, I was DELIGHTED with the care and extra effort put in to wrapping and packaging the candy dish. ( I used to work in a shipping facility so I know what it takes to do the job right. I am so appreciative. Well worth the price paid.
