"Heroes – Season 1" is based on a television program that focuses on the lives and trials of various individuals with super powers such as invulnerability, flight, and power absorption. The sub-plot focuses on a secret government agency that polices the individuals and appears to be corrupt. Season 1 of this series introduces the primary characters who recur during the series. This seven- disc set features a total of 23 episodes aired during the 2006 season. The seven- disc set of "Heroes – Season 1" is formatted as an anamorphic box set that is based on NTSC standards with digital sound and full-color delivery.
