Product Information

The boozing, smoking, cussing captain of a tramp steamer, Charlie Allnut, saves prim and proper Rose Sayer after her brother is killed by German soldiers at the beginning of World War I in Africa. Many quarrels later, the two set sail on the Ulonga-Bora in order to sabotage a German ship. Based on the 1935 novel by C.S. Forester, the wonderful combination of Hepburn and Bogie (who won an Oscar) makes this a thoroughly enjoyable blend of comedy and adventure. Later came the book (and Clint Eastwood film) White Hunter, Black Heart, which chronicled Peter Viertel's experiences observing Huston throughout the making of the picture.

    First time buying from this seller. Great communication. I bought 8 CDs in this order. Unfortunately, one of my CD cases got cracked in shipping. CDs were packaged wrapped in a mailing bag with paper cushioning the box not, not bubble wrapped. My seven other CDs were as pictured and described. Disc 1 in this set was the only one dinged. It's minor, but noticeable and not what you expect. Overall however, I am pleased with my purchase. I would order from them again, if extra precautions are taken

    Very nice used lot of 3 Barry Manilow CDs. As described. Great price and value. The CDs have no surface scratches and play well and sound great. The CDs were carefully packaged in a plastic mailing envelope and then placed in a sturdy cardboard box lined with brown shipping paper. The shipping was extremely fast and the items arrived three days after purchasing them and were in excellent condition. The seller's communication was excellent. I highly recommend this seller! Thank You!
