Synopsis
Oscar Wilde's only novel, first published in 1890, is a brilliant puzzle, intended to tease convention minds with its exploration of the myriad interrelationships between art, life, and consequence. From its provocative preface, challenging the reader to believe in "art for art's sake," to its sensational conclusion, the book explores the nature of sin through the tale of a young man who sells his soul for a lifetime of beauty., Oscar Wilde's only novel, first published in 1890, is a brilliant puzzle, intended to tease convention minds with its exploration of the myriad interrelationships between art, life, and consequence. From its provocative preface, challenging the reader to believe in "art for art's sake", to its sensational conclusion, the book explores the nature of sin through the tale of a young man who sells his soul for a lifetime of beauty. Oscar Wilde was an Irish writer and poet, and one of the most popular playwrights of the 1890s. Ian Bass has worked on books, film and theatre including projects for Watchmen, Hop, Super 8, Brave, A Christmas Carol, Treasure Island (Parrots of the Caribbean) and Gilbert is Dead. Penny Dreadful is a John Logan / Sam Mendes-produced horror drama set in Victorian London and features characters such as Frankenstein and Dracula. It stars Josh Hartnett, Eva Green and Timothy Dalton. It's all shot in London and some of the legendary characters who appear give this concept great potential to run as an ongoing series. It's a fresh piece of drama and the quality of the trailer and rushes look terrific. It's beautifully shot, with strong performances and it will be a major series for Fox.

- c***c (230)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoMy book arrived in good condition. Packaging was a rigid cardboard mailer, and it protected my book well. It was shipped in a reasonable amount of time, but I was still prompted to reach out to inquire further about it. Seller communication was very good, answering me within 24-hours. I was told shipping can take 9-15 days to happen... it arrived within 10 days after purchase. I would purchase from this seller again. Two thumbs up!Dune (S.F.
