They are firmer by a good margine as well but also grip much better in the dirt and allows me to get it to slide better on harder surfaces rather than rolling over like with the stock Alpine tires. The foams were stuffed into the tires and were deformed pretty bad so I held them on a spatula over boiling water and the steam got them to form back to normal.
